DO YOU FEEN?

When you first start talking to someone do you get this urge to talk to them nonstop? Do you feel like the feeling is purely brand new? Or do you steadily work towards talking to them excessively? Sometimes I feel like I can come off as thirsty, but that's not my intentions at all. I recently started talking to a dude, and it's all cool and stuff. But it's like...when I first meet a person and they don't do something they say they do, I get dumb disappointed. I really don;t know why. It's different if I knew the person for a long period of time, and then they disappoint me. Why is that? I honestly can't figure it out. It's not like I'm thirsty, I really don't know what it is.

How can you help that, though? I feel like I should stop, but wouldn't that be lying about my character?

Anyways, the point of this post is because I'm irritated with a person who said they were going to do somethin that they didn't end up doing.

Well, being that I haven't had that "new person" smell for a while, when me and my girl first started talking, we were always on the phone from, like, midnight to 5 in the morning during the summer. It was wonderful. Maybe some guys feel that by doing that they're being smothered. I have no idea.

@ e-rich: that's totally understandable, but it's different when it seems like the guy is liking the conversation, showing no sense of being smothered whatsoever. i can understand where you are coming from, though.

I swear, you and tommy are giving me a new vocabulary..lol..anyhow..I think it's different when you first meet someone and they don't do something they will cuz you feel like they have no reason to lie to you. Like I don't really even know you so why lie. It's always fun to have that new crush feeling. If he wasn't diggin you, then he would cut the convo short. Stop analyzing so much and just enjoy while it lasts. You only live once..& if it doesn't work out then move on to the next!!!Oh yeah..and never settle for less than what you are worth..if you feel like you are worth more that what he is giving drop his azz quick!!! lol

@maddie: i understand that, but isn't it easier for people to lie to you when they don't know you? that's just what i think. and if they wanna build the trust up, just so that they CAN lie to you..it's easier if they act right in the begining. lol.

Ok thinking on the subject at hand you get disappointed because what you learn about a person at first is what you build your views of that person from and if they arent what they say they are then it confuses your spirit... and wanting to get to know someone is not a problem but it should take three weeks at best with more to learn but the basics should be in place.. like single, siblings, character and attitude.

@jag: that's exactly what i mean. like people are on their p's & q's at first & that's how you expect them to act from there on out. now, yeah people have flaws that you seek afterward, but you know....

Eek,I do the same thing though. Even just with friends I'm all "Omgsh this person is amazing!" I think it's just cause everything's so new and exciting. Idk. This really doesn't help solve anything, but yeah... xD
